Here are a few of Brey's childhood friends from Merchants Nest.
From left to right we have :

Turve, a bob tailed fox and escaped slave, originally a dancer and part of a nomadic troupe.

Marmalade, human, Named for her ginger hair and the fact she was found in a fish crate near the docks as a toddler, like a kitten. She's one of several strays Turve and Erix found and raised.

Erix, a guinea pig and nephew of a baker, a generous baker, with a soft spot for large eyed waifs

Seln a very young marsupia, also a foundling and a natural acrobat. She still waits for her parents to return to the city.

Turve and Erix are probably an item. I'll redraw this picture in future.
